NRM's Peter Opolot Okwalinga declared winner of Kanyum County MP seat; FDC president Amuriat finishes fourth

The Kumi district returning officer, Okello Geoffrey Jensen, declared NRM candidate Peter Opolot Okwalinga the elected MP for Kanyum County with 11,558 votes, according to ChimpReports. Independent Vincent Orena was second with 6,018 votes, while FDC president Patrick Amuriat came fourth with 3,441 votes in an area the outlet describes as a long-time FDC stronghold.
