NUP northern deputy president Dr Lina Zedriga charged with incitement and remanded in Gulu

Dr Lina Zedriga, NUP Deputy President for Northern Uganda, was charged with incitement to violence and remanded to Gulu Main Prison until 17 February by Chief Magistrate Augustine Alule, according to The Independent. She had reportedly been missing for nearly a month after the 15 January general election. Women leaders in Northern Uganda called the charges trumped up, while police in Aswa West and the UPDF denied influencing them.
