Opposition candidates dispute results at Wakiso tally centre; NUP candidate removed by security

Opposition candidates for divisional council seats, mainly from Nabweru Division, accused Wakiso returning officer Tolbert Musinguzi of reading inflated results for NRM candidates and of refusing to check their Declaration of Results forms, according to the Daily Monitor. Police and military officers removed NUP candidate Immaculate Namanda from the tally centre after she challenged the results. Musinguzi said he read the results he had been given.
