Opposition LCV candidate's campaign team attacked with stones at rally in Dzaipi, Adjumani; three arrested

Police in Adjumani said supporters of incumbent LCV Chairperson Anyama Ben allegedly attacked the campaign team of opposition contender Anyanzo John Ambayo with stones at a rally in Jurum East Village, after the convoy had cleared a log roadblock on its way there. Regional police spokesperson SP Asea Collins said four Ambayo supporters were injured and five campaign vehicles damaged. Three suspects detained by Ambayo's team were handed to police and are held on charges including malicious damage and assault.
