Members of Parliament's Cosase committee, led by chairperson Muwada Nkunyingi, inspected Entebbe International Airport to check findings in the Auditor General's report on idle assets valued at about Shs17.4 billion and delayed procurements at the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority. Mr Nkunyingi told reporters that baggage scanners for the new terminal had not been installed and a transformer had not been delivered, but he acknowledged newly procured fire trucks. UCAA Acting Director General Olive Birungi said some of the audit issues had been addressed.
