Police and army block Kyagulanyi from campaigning in Fort Portal and Kabarole

Police and the military prevented NUP candidate Robert Kyagulanyi from campaigning in Fort Portal City and Kabarole District on 9 December 2025, forcing him to abandon two planned venues, NTV and Daily Monitor reported. NTV said security fired live bullets and tear gas to disperse supporters; Daily Monitor said soldiers were seen beating supporters who tried to approach him. No official reason was reported.
