According to The Observer, police and UPDF soldiers led by the Migyera police officer in charge stopped NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi and his team from entering Migyera town at about 9 pm and refused to let him travel on to Masindi or Hoima, citing curfew. Kyagulanyi and his team spent the night in their cars by the road, with some sleeping outside.
Disputed: The Independent and The Observer report that police and soldiers blocked Kyagulanyi from Migyera and denied his team hotel access, leaving him to sleep in his car; police (ChimpReports) deny he was blocked from accommodation.
