Police arrest 52 at political gathering in Kiboga Town Council

Daily Monitor reported that police arrested 52 people on the night of 6 January 2026 at Nile Gardens, Kiboga Town Council, over what police called an unlawful political gathering. Police said preliminary inquiries pointed to a mobiliser for independent Kiboga West candidate Kibuuka Mohammood as the convener.
