Police officers assault BBS TV journalist during Kyagulanyi campaign in Kween

Video reported by Daily Monitor showed two uniformed men, believed to be Counter Terrorism police, pinning BBS Terefayina journalist Ivan Mbadhi and striking his head against a vehicle in Cheminy, Kween District, on 5 January 2026 during Robert Kyagulanyi's campaign; he received first aid in hospital. The police spokesperson called the incident regrettable and said action would follow verification.
