Security personnel assault BBS TV journalist covering opposition campaign in Kween District

A BBS TV journalist said security personnel beat him while he was working in Kween District, after he filmed officers spraying teargas into a journalists' car, and he was later receiving treatment in Kapchorwa. The Human Rights Network for Journalists said the attack was carried out by the Uganda Police Force while he covered NUP candidate Robert Kyagulanyi, and the Uganda Journalists Association said it had begun legal action.
