According to the Daily Monitor, presidential candidate Joseph Mabirizi left a polling station in Makindye Ssabagabo without voting after voting had not started by 10am; a Monitor reporter found that no voting materials had arrived at Lufuka Playground polling station by then. Mabirizi blamed the delay on the government, calling the area an opposition stronghold.
