Security forces block FDC candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat from rallies at Nyakabande and Cyanika border, Kisoro

According to The Independent, anti-riot police and UPDF soldiers stopped FDC presidential candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat at the Kanaba checkpoint, then blocked roads to a planned rally at Nyakabande primary school and to Cyanika border town, directing him to Saza grounds in Kisoro town. Amuriat removed barricades and sat in the road with supporters for about 20 minutes before complying. Police said the Cyanika border was under COVID-19 lockdown and that his team had not notified security of rural rallies.
