Two men charged and remanded at Wakiso court over alleged illegal eviction on private land in Bukasa

Two men appeared before Wakiso Chief Magistrate's Court and were charged with forcible entry, malicious damage, eviction of bona fide occupants without a court order, crop destruction and theft, according to Nile Post. Authorities allege that between January and October 2025 a group armed with pangas and sticks entered land in Bukasa, Busiro, destroying houses, animal shelters, crops and equipment. Three other suspects had earlier been charged and remanded on similar allegations.
