Uganda Prisons Service dismisses Ngora warder over social media posts criticising NRM

The Prisons Council dismissed a warder attached to Ngora Prisons, in a letter dated 17 December 2025 with effect from 9 December, over allegations of partisan politics and criticising NRM leaders in TikTok videos, Nile Post reported. NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi condemned the dismissal, saying the warder was punished for exposing alleged abuses while other security officers openly support the ruling party.
