Unidentified attackers assault Nakaseke District Vice Chairperson Richard Mavuma at his gate in Ssemuto

Police said unidentified armed attackers ambushed Nakaseke District Vice Chairperson Richard Mavuma at the gate of his home in Katale Zone, Ssemuto Town Council, at about 10:30pm, cutting him with pangas and beating him with sticks and damaging his vehicle. According to Savannah Region police spokesperson ASP Sam Twiineamazima, the motive was unclear and investigations had begun. Mavuma was taken for medical treatment.
