Adonia Ayebare takes office as Minister of Foreign Affairs from acting minister Kasolo

Ambassador Adonia Ayebare received the instruments of office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Haruna Kasolo Kyeyune, who had been acting minister since 22 June 2026, according to The Independent. In his first remarks, Ayebare directed that Uganda's missions abroad be realigned towards economic and commercial diplomacy.
