Buganda Road court declines to vary Male Mabirizi's bail conditions, keeping him in custody

Chief Magistrate Ritah Kidasa Neumbe of Buganda Road Chief Magistrate's Court dismissed lawyer Male Mabirizi Kiwanuka's application to remove five conditions attached to the mandatory bail granted on 21 August, finding no change in circumstances. According to ChimpReports, the court held that paying the Shs2 million cash deposit alone did not secure release, and directed him to file a passport affidavit with a certified immigration letter, give a verifiable address and have his sureties approved.
