Anti-Corruption Court sums up iron sheets case against ex-minister Agnes Nandutu, sets assessors' opinion date

Justice & Court Rulings Single source Kampala 17 Mar 2026 Severity: 1/5

The Independent reports that Justice Jane Okuo Kajuga of the Anti-Corruption Court summed up the trial of former State Minister for Karamoja Affairs Agnes Nandutu and fixed April 1, 2026 for assessors to give their opinion. Nandutu is accused of receiving 2,000 iron sheets meant for Karamoja in 2022, which the prosecution says resulted from loss of public property. In her defence, she blamed senior officials for not guiding her on distributing the sheets.
