Apac officials report diversion of cattle restocking funds by GISOs, chiefs and local leaders

At a meeting with the Minister of State for Economic Monitoring in Apac, RDC Andrew Onyuk said many cases of diverted cattle restocking funds had been reported and that some suspects were arrested while others refunded money. Police told the meeting they had received seven cases and one suspect had been arrested and taken to court. Residents told the Daily Monitor that genuine beneficiaries were removed from lists and replaced with relatives, friends or people who paid kickbacks.
