Army says Fisheries Protection Unit seized about 200 illegal boats and 113 nets on Lake Kwania, Apac

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the army said its Fisheries Protection Unit recovered about 200 illegal fishing boats and 113 nets in operations at eight landing sites on Lake Kwania in Akokoro sub county, Apac district, between August and October 2020. The unit's Apac commandant said bicycles and motorcycles carrying immature fish were also impounded but their owners were pardoned.
