The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions said its Homicide Division head, Assistant DPP Alex Bagada, was the victim of a suspected robbery on 8 October 2026 at a restaurant and bar in Bugolobi, reported to police two days later. ChimpReports had reported that he was drugged and robbed of Shs129 million and later found unconscious in Wakaliga; the ODPP said the sums involved were significantly lower and that the incident did not happen at a sauna.
