Besigye and Lutale write to Justice Baguma from Luzira alleging unfair treason trial

Detained opposition politician Dr Kizza Besigye and co-accused Hajji Obeid Lutale wrote a letter from Luzira Upper Prison to High Court judge Emmanuel Baguma, copied to the Principal Judge and the Uganda Law Society President, alleging bias and that the timetable for their latest bail application denied them adequate time and lawyers of their choice. They also cited the prosecution of Erias Lukwago and the deportation of Martha Karua, and asked for at least three weeks to prepare; according to ChimpReports, neither the Judiciary nor the DPP had responded.
