Besigye tells High Court in Kampala he was abducted and illegally detained, questions judge's impartiality

At a hearing in his treason case before Justice Emmanuel Baguma of the High Court Criminal Division, Kizza Besigye said he and his co-accused had been abducted from Nairobi, held in a military facility and kept in detention despite a Supreme Court decision, the Daily Monitor reports. He described the judge's bail ruling as showing incompetence or bias and said he and Obeid Lutale had complained about the judge to the Judicial Service Commission. Justice Baguma said he would give his ruling on 15 October.
