Buganda Katikkiro Mayiga urges security agencies to end abductions and beatings, at NUP meeting in Bulange

Speaking at a meeting with National Unity Platform leaders at Bulange Mengo, Buganda Kingdom Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga called on security agencies to stop threats, abductions and beatings, saying elections must be held without fear. According to the Daily Monitor, NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi raised concerns about alleged abductions of opposition supporters in Buganda, and the meeting was the first official engagement between NUP leadership and the kingdom as Kyagulanyi campaigned in Rubaga Division.
