At Buganda Road Court, two police officers testified in the trial of 12 activists charged over a protest against the East African Crude Oil Pipeline. The magistrate admitted protest banners as exhibits over defence objections, and directed the prosecution to make full disclosure to the defence after the defence objected to a letter requesting CCTV footage. The case was adjourned to 16 October and the activists were returned to remand, according to the Daily Monitor.
