Buganda Road court remands activist Praise Aloikin Opoloje over use of another person's SIM card

Praise Aloikin Opoloje pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Winnie Nankya Jatiko at Buganda Road Chief Magistrate's Court to a charge of using a SIM card registered to another person under the 2024 interception of communications regulations, and was remanded until 14 October 2026, the Daily Monitor reports. Activist Agather Atuhaire said the SIM card was registered in her mother's name and criticised the remand.
