Grade one magistrate Rophine Acayo at Buganda Road Chief Magistrate's court remanded the ten protesters to Luzira Prison after they denied charges of causing a nuisance on a public road. The Observer reports that the accused had no sureties in court and are due back on 18 September 2026 for mention and bail applications.
