CID at Parliament arrests two government officials during digital number plate inquiry

According to the Daily Monitor, CID officers attached to Parliament arrested Nathan Negesa of the Office of the President and Moses Bekabye of the Finance Ministry after they were questioned by the Committee on Physical Infrastructure. The paper reports that Negesa could not explain the Shs714,300 charged per digital number plate, and that Bekabye admitted his earlier testimony about foreign benchmarking trips was untrue.
