EC nominates Ssewanyana, NUP's Luyirika and NRM's Kagabi for Makindye West MP race

The Electoral Commission nominated incumbent MP Allan Ssewanyana and National Unity Platform flag bearer Zahara Luyirika for the Makindye West parliamentary seat, where NRM's Doreen Keita Kagabi is also standing. According to Nile Post, NUP chose Luyirika over Ssewanyana, a decision some party aspirants had petitioned the party tribunal against, and Ssewanyana returned to the race after his own nomination.
