EC orders re-run in 18 Ajuri County polling stations after recount finds irregularities

The Electoral Commission ordered fresh voting in 18 polling stations in Ajuri County, Alebtong District, after a recount prompted by UPC candidate Fred Jalameso's complaint, according to the Daily Monitor. The EC said it found votes attributed to NRM candidate Denis Hamson Obua exceeding registered voters and empty ballot boxes at some stations, mainly in Awei Sub-county; the re-run was set for 27 January.
