UPC candidate Fred Jalameso said he would not accept the EC-ordered re-run in Ajuri County and demanded to be declared winner, saying he led NRM's Denis Hamson Obua even with the disputed stations included. He accused the returning officer of colluding with the incumbent and said he had lodged a petition at EC headquarters.
Disputed: The EC says irregularities warrant a re-run in 18 stations; Jalameso says the conditions for a re-run were not met and he should be declared winner.
