Government Chief Whip Hamson Obua concedes defeat in Ajuri County parliamentary race

In a press statement dated 28 January 2026, NRM's Denis Hamson Obua accepted the declared result of the Ajuri County re-run and congratulated UPC's Fred Jalameso. Obua said he would continue to serve the country, the NRM and the people of northern Uganda outside elective politics.
