Electoral Commission begins phased dispatch of voting materials to districts from Ntinda warehouse

According to the Daily Monitor, Electoral Commission chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama flagged off the first batches of ballot papers and biometric voter verification machines from the EC warehouse in Ntinda, beginning with districts including Mitooma, Hoima City, Yumbe, Mbale and Wakiso. Byabakama said the distribution would be phased because of manpower and logistical constraints, and that the materials would be escorted and stored under security at district offices until polling day.
