Electoral Commission convenes stakeholders' meeting on Kalangala Woman MP by-election

The Electoral Commission announced a stakeholders' meeting in Kalangala to present the roadmap for a by-election to replace Woman MP-elect Helen Nakimuli of NUP, who died on 19 April 2026, according to URN. EC spokesperson Julius Mucunguzi said invitations had gone to parties, religious leaders, media, civil society, security agencies and local leaders; no polling date had been announced.
