Electoral Commission says by-election will fill Kalangala Woman MP seat after death of MP-elect

Electoral Commission chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama said a by-election will be held for the Kalangala District Woman MP seat after the death of the incumbent, who had also been elected for the 12th Parliament, according to ChimpReports. He said no poll can take place before the current Parliament's term ends on 12 May, and that the Commission is waiting for formal notification from the Clerk to Parliament before issuing a timetable.
