Electoral Commission declares NUP's Kawalya and Nassolo winners of Rubaga North and Rubaga South seats

The Electoral Commission declared Abubaker Kawalya (NUP) winner of the Rubaga North parliamentary seat with 30,589 votes and Eugenia Nassolo (NUP) winner of Rubaga South with 35,366 votes, according to the Daily Monitor. Rubaga South's incumbent MP, Aloysius Mukasa, came third. Kawalya told the Monitor the campaign had involved intimidation and arrests of NUP supporters.
