Electoral Commission dismisses Ivan Bwowe's bid to be declared unopposed for Nakawa Division West seat

The Electoral Commission, in a ruling communicated by Chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama, dismissed a complaint by parliamentary candidate Ivan Bwowe, who had argued that his rivals, including incumbent Joel Ssenyonyi, were nominated under a non-existent constituency named 'Nakawa West'. The Commission found that the signed Control Form carried the correct name, Nakawa Division West, and upheld the Kampala Returning Officer's nominations, leaving all eight candidates in the race.
