Electoral Commission halts swearing-in of LC1 chairpersons in 27 Luweero villages pending petitions

According to The Observer, the Electoral Commission has not yet resolved petitions filed by candidates from 27 villages in Luweero district over the 28 July LC1 elections and has halted the swearing-in of elected chairpersons in those villages until the complaints are disposed of. Swearing-in elsewhere in Luweero was completed on 28 August.
