Electoral Commission upholds Brig Gen Emmanuel Rwashande's qualifications against Ssekikubo petition in Lwemiyaga

The Electoral Commission ruled that Brig Gen Emmanuel Rwashande's military training and UPDF courses give him the equivalent qualification needed to contest for Member of Parliament, dismissing a challenge by incumbent Lwemiyaga County MP Theodore Ssekikubo, Nile Post reported. Rwashande welcomed the ruling and said the petition was unnecessary because the National Council for Higher Education had already verified his papers.
