Energy Minister Nankabirwa hands mining licence to artisanal miners' association in Abim on behalf of Euro Gold Refinery

According to Nile Post, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development granted a mining licence connected to Euro Gold Refinery (EGR), and Minister Ruth Nankabirwa handed it over in Abim District to the Kakoka artisan miners association on EGR's behalf. The article presents the handover as part of government efforts to formalise and regulate artisanal gold mining.
