Erias Lukwago committed to High Court for trial on misprision of treason

The Observer reports that former Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago was committed from Makindye Chief Magistrate's court to the High Court for trial on misprision of treason. He asked to travel to India for treatment under escort, but the magistrate said the court no longer had jurisdiction; the High Court's Criminal Division then issued a production warrant for him to appear on 24 July.
