Erias Lukwago reportedly taken from his Wakaliga home by unidentified operatives

Erias Lukwago posted on X on 15 June 2026 that security operatives had surrounded his home, and witnesses said he was later put into a Toyota HiAce van by unidentified operatives. His wife and other witnesses said there had been no prior legal summons and alleged that armed operatives jumped the perimeter fence. NTV Uganda reported that authorities had not issued a statement on the alleged detention by the time of publication.
