Fire destroys dormitory at Ntenungi Secondary School in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement, Kamwenge

A dormitory at Ntenungi Secondary School in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement burnt down at about 8 pm on 10 March 2026, leaving 215 students without accommodation or belongings, according to the Daily Monitor. The headteacher said the school suspects arson by unknown people and that no learner was hurt because students were in evening prep. Police had not issued a statement on the cause by the following evening.
