Kitagwenda District Chairperson Ismail Mushemeza charged with seven fraud counts in Kamwenge court

Kitagwenda District Chairperson Ismail Mushemeza appeared before the Chief Magistrate's Court in Kamwenge, where the charge sheet listed seven counts of obtaining money by false pretence, according to Nile Post. The prosecution alleges he solicited and received money from several people under fraudulent circumstances; complainants and amounts were not disclosed. He had been arrested in Kampala earlier in the week by officers of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit.
