Floods submerge Nakivubo and Owino Market in Kampala after downpour

According to Nile Post, a downpour flooded large parts of Nakivubo and nearby areas in Kampala, and traders at Owino Market had their goods submerged in knee-high water. The flooding has been widely blamed on redevelopment works along the Nakivubo Channel by businessman Hamis Kiggundu, who reportedly put up commercial structures over the channel.
