Speaker of Parliament Anita Among announced at the NRM headquarters in Kampala that former FDC Deputy President Yusuf Nsibambi had joined the ruling party. According to ChimpReports, Nsibambi, the outgoing Mawokota South MP, lost his seat in the January 2026 general elections.
