Former Speaker Anita Among confirms her bank accounts frozen amid IG and CID probe

According to ChimpReports, former Speaker Anita Among told a delegation of Teso elders and MPs at her Nakasero residence that her bank accounts had been frozen as the Inspectorate of Government and the CID investigate allegations of corruption, wealth declaration and management of parliamentary resources. The Teso Parliamentary Group appealed to President Museveni to have the accounts unfrozen, saying the freeze had affected businesses and charities linked to her. Among has said she is cooperating with investigators.
