Four PDM SACCO leaders arrested and SACCO committees dissolved in Kabale over alleged misuse of funds

ChimpReports reports that an operation led by the Kabale Resident District Commissioner's office arrested four Parish Development Model SACCO leaders in Rubaya Sub-county after residents accused them of extorting beneficiaries, diverting funds and withdrawing money in a beneficiary's name. Officials also removed a SACCO chairman, dissolved SACCO committees, including in Kahungye Sub-county where members reportedly fled, and ordered their arrest; the report says six parish SACCO committees were dissolved in total.
