The General Court Martial in Makindye granted amnesty to nine National Unity Platform supporters who had been in military custody since 2021, after the prosecution said the State did not object to their applications. The nine had been charged with treachery and unlawful possession of ammunition over alleged attacks in 2020–2021; according to the Daily Monitor they had refused to plead guilty, saying the charges were fabricated. The panel handed them to the Amnesty Commission for rehabilitation and reintegration.
