Goodluck Jonathan arrives in Kampala to lead joint AU-COMESA-IGAD election observation mission

According to ChimpReports, former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan arrived in Kampala to head a joint African Union, COMESA and IGAD mission observing Uganda's 15 January 2026 general elections. The mission, which the article says was invited by the Government of Uganda and the Electoral Commission, has 84 short-term observers due to deploy across all regions.
